OT: really goofy, fun site/ story from parent night

Have any of you ever seen the Homestarrunner site? It is all the rage with teens. It's obviously done by someone older and is really, in my opinion, very funny. If you check it out, look at the teen girl squad skits.

is not for everyone, but reminds me of what some bored student would doin their notebook trying not to fall asleep in class. On a side note, we went to parent night at Ann's high school last night and met all of her teachers. We got her schedule and visited each classroom for about 15 minutes. Well, Ann had been talking about how boring her screen printing teacher is. ( My husband made us sit in the front of this room). The teacher opened his mouth, started talking and I almost lost it! It was the most monotone, lifeless, boring voice you can imagine. I had a hard time paying attention just for 15 minutes. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing.

This reminds me of reading things I've written in high school that are exactly correct. So often we assume our teen agers don't know things because they're young, where often they have a clear view uninfluenced by experiences we are taught to judge things by (often inappropriately).

Kathy, you have made me the coolest mom in my son's eyes. I had the Homestarrunner site up on my computer after I read your post, Erik came over and was totally in awe that I knew what that was. I of course gave the credit to my hip friend so now you are cool too.
