Really OT: "24"

Hi All

This really off topic post concerns the TV show "24" with Keifer Sutherland in the starring role. I have a question.... if there are any of you out there who watch this show, did you watch the 2nd 2 hour premiere on Monday night? And, if you did, did any of you experience a loss of the last 10 to

12 minutes of the first hour of the show?

I taped it to watch this weekend. We just finished watching it, and I know it wasn't my VCR. I set it to tape for 2 full hours. The first hour ended at the 48 minute mark instead of the full hour. I googled the show, and found this same thing happened in South Carolina, but it seemed to be a local thing, with them breaking in to show the local news instead of the show.

Aaaaaargggg. It really spoiled the second hour to realize that part of the first hour was missing. I've written to the local TV station, but will not get an answer until Monday at least. ;>P

I got an answer to my own question today from the local TV station. Here it is: (grrrrrr)

"A portion of the first hour of the 2-hour "24" episode was not aired on Monday, January 16. This was due to a recording error that occurred. Unfortunately, this error was not caught before the broadcast.

Promotional content was used to fill the vacant time created by the initial recording error. It was not the station's intention to run additional promotional airtime during the broadcast.

We sincerely apologize for this error."
