They are really lovely, Linda. What a fantastic achievement (and one that will last with these children for many a year I'm sure). There is little better than children working to give to other children - something about that gets right to the whole point of everything. Thanks for showing us the finished products. I was thrilled to see them. Can you please pass on transatlantic good wishes to the children? They might enjoy it! . In message , WitchyStitcher writes

How cool!!! Nice and bright. I'm sure the kids receiving them will love them. You get the "way to go award" for teaching your students; not only to quilt, but to care for others.

Congratulate the kiddies on a job well done. They will make a difference in the lives of the other kiddies that receive the quilts.

How wonderful, Linda, how very, very wonderful. Teaching children to quilt (and with a committee to help) makes me want to go hide in the hall closet - but you have the added challenge of teaching children to give. That's beautiful. So proud of you. Here's a big, sloppy, squashy h-u-g. I salute you. Wow. Polly

Awww. They really are enjoying it. Of course, I do have reinforce some of the seams because we are doing it by hand, but they are really getting quite good. It's mostly girls, but we do have 3 boys and 2 grandparents.
