OT: Spooky Visitation

I *love* Halloween. I've been putting up a Halloween Tree for years now, and my Halloween ornament collection is getting to be as large as my Yule ornament collection. So, I went from a 4' fake tree to a 6' fake tree to hold them all. (Yes, there are some *beaded* ornaments there...) :o)

to legend, this is the time of year when the veil between this world and the next get very thin, allowing those who have crossed over to come back for a visit. Well, this afternoon, I went to plug the tree lights in to take the photo, and discovered several ornaments on the floor. Normally, this wouldn't have been surprising, since Jessica Sillywhiskers was very fond of pulling ornaments off the tree (Halloween or Yule) and playing cat-soccer with them.

Except, of course, that it's been over a year since she crossed over....

I also found a handful of ping pong balls (her *favorite* toys) stashed behind the sofa when I was vaccuuming yesterday.

I think she's come back for a visit and wants her toys, yes?

Sound like you beloved cat is feeling your holiday excitement and wants to be a part of it all. How lucky are you?

remember, bridges do go both ways, so when she crossed the rainbow bridge, you know she still sees you on the other side...

Wonderful tree! Of course, she's probably missed it and is back for a little cat-fun and games. :) Halloween is my favorite time of year too!
