There are five of them today. My niece and nephew, plus my own three.
And they are all in time out right now.
Oh, the momentary quiet!
I just had to savor that a little before I go release them from their penance.

Thank God my kids are grown and gone! I think if I had to do kids over again I would shoot myself!!! ( Yes I have good reason, 3 girls!!!! ).

Beadgasms for all!
I hear you through the quiet (apologies to Glen Campbell). My son is
23 and raising him was often a challenge. Sometimes I think, "if I had it to do all over again, maybe I could have done a better job, been more patient, etc." OMG, WHAT was I thinking???? It's been quite an experience, one I wouldn't want to repeat. I feel like he doesn't need me that much any more. But, then he did drive to Delaware a few months ago, forget to get off at the proper exit and wind up in Maryland....and call for directions (the ones he didn't want to take with him because, "Mom, I've been to Grandma's a million times..." love you much,Patti
hahaha HA! Try 2 boys (grands) 19 months and 5 yrs, full time!!! I had a scary visit to the ER with the little one last night... he's a major climber and has the bruised forehead and rudolph nose this morning to prove that gravity works!!! He's fine, I lost about 5 yrs!
But you're right... if I was caring for grand*daughters* instead of grandsons at this age I would be crazy(er)!!!
well, from what I read about your son, you did real well (even if' he sounds like fitting the image about guys not asking for directions) ...
(still wishing I would have manged to see you in Chicago).
Maren
Hi, Maren, Thank you for those kind words! I'm still so sorry about Chicago, and wish I could have met up with you and Carla. I can't believe none of our cell phones worked in that area. But, I believe in second chances, so definitely next time. I'm off to MIllville, NJ to take a fusing class from Deb Crowley. She's out here from Oregon to teach at Carlisle School of Art Glass. What a great opportunity!!
