Yesterday I had Outlook open reading messages and at the bottom it said I was receiving a message but it was coming in really slow. Finally I minimized outlook and my Norton AV alert was up and said I received a virus. I quickly stopped that email that was coming in and quarantined the virus. It was the first one I ever got so I was really kind of panicked about it. I hit the repair button but it said it couldn't be repaired so I tried sending it to SARS and the rejected it saying I needed to delete the file and then replace the original file. I have no way of knowing where to find the original file so I'm not going to worry about it. Then I went to Earthlink and clicked on the mail icon and the same message was there and when I opened it, it was supposedly a message from Microsoft Windows saying I needed to download the attachment to update my files. I deleted that sucker. Its the first time I've ever gotten anything like that and I know they don't email updates out. I just thought I'd let you all know about it. The main reason I didn't open the attachment is because I knew I've read it here that others have gotten those so I wanted to tell you I appreciate that information. If I'd not heard it from here first, I probably would of downloaded it cause it looked like a legit email from microsoft. So thanks.
