Is it an annual or perennial?Look sorta like the Rose of Sharon (a perennial) have, but different leaves (ofcourse, mine has been hit by a combo of giant whiteflies and drought). Anotherpossibility is okra (an annual), or, less likely, bitter melon (usually hasyellow flowers).

NO NO - Black eyed susans look like a daisy shaped flower - with deep yellow petals and a deep brown center.

You're right, Cheryl. They're very common in wild flower mixes for Tink's and my zones. The name might be desert rose mallow.
