Re: Now, this is annoying!

Now I can't find them. They're not in my work area (although everything >*else*

Sounds like something a cat might like...?

Good luck finding them!

Perversity of the Universe... after getting up from posting that, I just happened to walk past the TV tray in the den and -- there was the bag! Normally I'd have checked there already, but the tray had been moved from its customary position, so it didn't "click" to look on it.

I'm relieved to find the cords -- but that doesn't mean I don't have to go shopping tomorrow anyhow. I'm out of small earring cards...

Yes, that works well if I miss the item right away. In this case, though, it had been a couple of weeks plus an out-of-town trip -- and my "coming in" routine isn't consistent enough for it to work under those circumstances.

But I found them anyhow! See my response to Cheri2Star...

I have ADD too (found out about it when DD was diagnosed), and have mostly solved the car key problem. I bought one of those janitor's keyrings with a retracting pull wire. One end is clipped inside my purse, and the other is attached to my keys. As soon as the key is out of the ignition, the wire retracts and pulls the keys into the purse.

Since the key to my Beetle costs $130 to replace, I really, really don't want to lose it.

P.S.: I bought a second key ring and have it permanently attached to DD's backpack. She keeps her house keys on it, and hasn't lost any since I got the key ring.

Good idea. I'm always, always, always losing my keys. Drives DH crazy.

Well I did a similar thing. I bought the components to attach my torch to the table and then when I was ready to use them- couldn't find them anywhere. Sigh. So I bought another set.

Of course after I used the new set I found the old set- back to Home Depot for a return :)
