Re: Power Pro

This morning I read a post about beading threads, and some posted not to use

>Power Pro (sorry I can't find the post to re-state it) - I use that and >wondered why the person said not to use it!!! It was in regard to someone >asking about different threads for research for something.

PowerPro, in general, may be fine. I, and others, have had problems with the white, bead-store version. A powdery substance flakes off (probably wax), and it has a tendency to "snap" when pulled tightly, for no decernable reason. I'm not sure if this is due to re-spooling, or if it is inherent to the variety. Another thing-- the bead-store packaging is quite a bit more expensive than the fishing packaging. Same product-- cheapest I've seen the bead store version is $4.50/28y; brand-name PowerPro fishing line is about $12/150y. Kaytee "Simplexities" on

Is this a monofilament type of Power Pro?

If it's like Spider Line, it comes in braided, mono, and I think the other is twisted or fused.

I won't use ANY brand of monofilament.
