Hey, Marisa... is Fireline anything like that free fishing line offer that was posted here awhile back? It was for a product called "Spiderwire". Anyway, I received a 75 yd. spool of (greenish color) fishing line - it says it's Teflon treated and superbraided. It's yours if it can match your need for Fireline. :) I'll send it to you along with the scrap silver I've been saving for you if you'd like it. Just eme. :D

Not sure if they ship overseas, but: Cabella's has it and other brands of the same fiber.

It doesn't sound like the same thing, but I'm willing to give it a try. I like fireline for stringing when I don't want to crimp (which is most of the time, I hate crimps!). Once knotted, fireline doesn't seem to come undone or stretch. I can get it in different strain rates (8lb, 10lb and so forth). The stringing method I have developed dictates that I need to pass through pearls (if I'm using them, which I mostly do) twice, so the material needs to be thin but very strong. I haven't seen spiderwire hear, by all means pop a meter in the bag, I like to try out new materials. Thank you sweet heart.

WalMart no longer seems to be carrying it-- and I only got it in the fishing dept. It seems to have been replaced by Spiderwire "Stealth", a Teflon coated braid. The "original" Spiderwire is also available. KMart, my other source, only has monofiliment now. Kaytee "Simplexities" on
