vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from "Kandice Seeber" :

]the cold and wind are preventing me from making beads for the next ]couple of days.

Jamie mentioned that she was getting snow that stuck. can we say "not a happy camper?" **smile**

Hehehe - over where Jamie is they are going to get 6 inches or more towards morning. I like the snow, but after the snow comes the freezing rain where I am as the temps warm up. That sucks. :(

I'll take 10 or 15 degrees any day over freezing rain.

Glad I could suggest something that will keep you busy in this cold weather Kandice ;) (and brrr is it ever cold!) Hope it's not too big a pain for you, or I'll feel really bad bringing it up - but then I do have a program that will do a quick search and replace on all the pages and drop in the code that will open in a new window. Just let me know if you don't have that ability and I can do it real quick for you.

oh I thought we were going to get 6-12 inches here in the foothills tonight... and then flooding when the weather warms up in a day or two... either way it's not going to be fun but as long as we don't lose power I'll be happy enough.

Totally! We got the 10-15 degrees overnight last night. Ewwww. Now we're getting 50 mph winds with 22F temps and snow on the way.

The forecasters can't make up their mind - and it totally depends on where you are according to King5, Kiro7 and Komo4. The southwest will see snow long before the central and north will, and the foothills will see snow, then freezing rain, then rain and flooding, as well as high winds. Of course, who really knows, since they are all saying different stuff right now. I am hiding out for the next 36 hours. :)

I prefer it when links *don't* open in a new window. I shift+click links I want to open in a new window, if I just click I *want* it to open in the same window. But there isn't a shortcut to force it to open in the same window that I know of.

I agree, with the addition that the finding checking and writing of descriptions for links is ALSO a huge job. So thank you BOTH in profusion!!!

:( Ooops. Well, I have had so many requests to have them open in a new window, that I went ahead and made that change. I don't know if a shortcut the other way either. At this point, it would be a lot of work to change it back, so unless I get a lot of requests the other way, I will leave it for now.

I don't care which way it works, but I can see the point of the people who want a new window to open. That way you don't "lose your place" if you decide to explore the new site, and then have to hit the Back button a dozen times in order to get back to the links list.

Thank you Kandice!!! I certainly didn't want this to turn out to be a big deal when I suggested it... I'll just hide away in my igloo now ;)

and with some popup blockers, you have to do key commands to open them up. That's why I don't run one, right now.

Not a big deal at all - it was something I planned on doing. With the weather preventing me from making beads, I had the time to finally do it. :)

With all those links and they still think this? They must also think you are one serious enterprising woman too. =o)

BTW, a big thank you to both of you for the time and effort you put into this. It is a great feature to offer to the beading community.

LOL it is HUGE! When I put up my "links" section on my website, I kept adding and adding to this list of links I was going to put up... and then I finally realized I could make it easy for myself by just having ONE. To Sooz's links!
