I've received packages that stank of smoke before..not just on the outside, but on the inside too. right down to the beads. I once had to soak a bunch of beads in soapy water cause they stank so badly, and the package was promptly tossed outside cause the packing materials were also awful. that smell can be really hard to get out of things sometimes, even with a good airing out...I had grandparents who both smoked like chimneys, and every christmas or birthday whatever they sent would require a great deal of washing or wiping down before it ceased to smell.
