Is there a way to put a signature on your post without having to type it in each time?

It depends on the software you use. For Outlook Express, do this:

(Main Menu) Tools....Options.... You'll get a dialog box. Click the Signatures tab, click New, then fill in your sig in the bottom box. Then, check the box next to "add signatures to all outgoing messages". If you want your sig on forwards and replies, uncheck the box next to "don't add signature to forwards and replies". Click Okay, then you're done! :) I think this should work for both newsgroups and email.

Mary Ann, signatures are no problem if you use a news reader. I prefer Forte Agent. You can try the version with all the bells and whistles for 29 days for free or go with their free lighter version.

After you get yourself a proper news reader please think about signing up for a proper news provider. You really miss a lot using google! I highly recommend them though registration may take a couple of days, it works great with all news readers.

If you or anyone needs help setting up either of these, I would be glad to lend assistance. Also free of charge!

Hmmm. I don't have Outlook Express, but use Eudora for my email. I'll have to look into this. Thanks!

:) It should be similar - here's a link to some Eudora help:
