this is a bead day

It *IS* crappy here, isn't is? I have to go out in a bit. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Plus my fiance has an SUV and on his way to work he started having front bearings or front axle noises. It's not good when they send you an email and ask how much is in the bank.

Looks like I'll be beading as well this afternoon. It's not like I don't have something to work on.

ARGH! As a follow up - my mom just called me. She and Dad are in Florida. She called to tell me they are out at the pool. It's 84° there and the locals are complaining that it's too cold to be at the pool.

I hate winter.

Hi, everyone, I'm in NJ where the weather is so crappy....it should be a song this winter. The good news is that I can cut glass and fuse all day. The bad news is that tomorrow when the weather is "iffy" I have a craft fair. Think of me unloading stuff in the pouring rain or better yet, hold good thoughts for SUN, lots of happy customers who are in a buying mood, etc. Patti

Yes I do - and I need a full time job. I used to work for Gateway (as in computers) until they closed our store last March. Getting a job that pays a decent wage isn't easy - regardless of your skill set. Being part of a protected age bracket and a double minority (female, Vietname Era veteran) doesn't help either. Shoot me - I'd take a job based on that right about now. Until then I work part-time retail at a little over minimum and no benefits.

You're allowed. We all need to vent, and this group appears to be a place where venting is received reasonably. I hope things improve for you. I know what you are talking about. Financial strains, employment dissatisfaction, both effect all aspects of our life whether or not we want it to. Hang in there. Something is bound to change if you keep working at it.
