Woo Hoo!!!!! I'm going to be selling TierraCast in my eBay store!!!



I don't know how many of you are familiar with this company, but they make the finest pewter beads, links and findings available. A hundred times better than anything you can get from Quest Beads. And they're very picky about who they sell to, which, until now, has been jewelry designers, select catalog companies (like Rio Grande), and brick and mortar bead stores. So I really didn't have much hope they'd approve my request for a catalog and open an account for me.



BUT THEY DID!!!! And NO ONE sells their product on eBay right now - I'll be their first account for that venue. I can hardly believe it!! I spent 20 minutes on the phone this morning speaking with their new account person and had to convince her that I wouldn't be unfair competition to their established accounts. I must have said something right, because she went to bat for me with the owners and I'll be getting their catalog in a few days.



So, for those of you who like quality pewter beads, links and findings, I'll be listing my new stock the second week in February after I get back from Tucson.

Well, in the meantime, if you need something right away - go to Whim Beads. I see Beki's added TierraCast to her goodies too!!

Way cool! I really live their stuff - I've bought it locally before and used it in jewelry. If I am going to use pewter, Tierra Cast is the only one I will use! I'm getting back in to making charm bracelets (with my own lampwork now), so I'll be shopping with you and Beki for charms and clasps. Yey!!

Oh, I see they do sterling silver, as well. Are you getting some of that too? Please say yes!!

Have to see what the prices are first, but now that you mention it, I'll probably have some. Their line has grown tremendously in the past few year and being limited in funds, I won't be able to offer all of the items they have. Beki, however, looks to have all of it in both gold and silver finishes. The catalog probably won't get here until late next week unless they sent it first class mail. I think the account rep thought I was crazy when I told her she didn't need to send samples as I knew very well how good their quality was. Never thought to ask for a sample of the sterling!! I was just too astounded that they said yes!

Hi Beki -

I posted the beginning message to this thread about an hour before I went to your website to look for something else and saw that you had the TierraCast stuff listed as "NEW" on your opening catalog page. If I had just done that before I did my victory dance here in RCB, I wouldn't have mentioned it at all. I truly hate stepping on a fellow entrepreneur's toes that way. :o(

I have been selling beads for almost 20 years now. If nothing else, I have learned that it is a big planet full of lots of beaders. =o)
