Very strange question, but it makes sense really!

So here it is, does a 6mm swarovski bicone bead fit through a 8mm jump ring? I've tried it through a 6mm one and understandably it didn't fit. I want to know if it will fit before I buy some, because if it doesn't I'll need to buy a larger size and also I wouldn't have a need for them for anything else.



The reason I ask is that I have a design for a necklace in my head which involves a wireful of the beads going through a jump ring on the other side, finished off by a pendant so it doesn't come off altogether. Ok, so I didn't describe that very well!



I could probably email the shop, but its 3am over here and I'm looking through their newly updated stock now.

It will depend on the gauge of the wire used to make the jump ring, because that will determine the INNER diameter of the jump ring, which is the relevant measurement here. As larger jump rings are usually made with thicker wire, I would have to think it would be a tight fit. Are you going to be sliding it back and forth over the bicone? I think that would be difficult. A 10mm jump ring might be better, or you could just use the toggle ring from a clasp.

Thank you. The idea is for it to be sliding back and forth so I think I will get a 10mm one. I've just looked and someone is selling them individually for 4p, but as the postage is the same as for a pack of

100 I will get the pack!
