West Coast/Southwest Bead shows???

It seems like my commute to Tucson last week has sparked my lead foot. I'm looking for any lead for bead shows in CA, AZ, NM, UT or CO. I might branch out further later, but for now that seems like plenty of territory to cover. Southern California is a particular objective...anyone know if there are shows in San Diego or LA? I'm thinking there were but not sure if that's still true. Thanks for any and all help!

Check the Gem Faire schedule.... I think there is one every weekend this month in the LA area. (Santa Monica, etc).

I didn't see any at the Portland one back in November. Lots of silver, stones, pearls, gems, crystals and (ICK!) coral. And quite a few sellers of finished jewelry. But no lampwork that I recall. There might be some at one of the three Bead Faires, but the one I went to last year seemed to be mostly seed beads.

Kahn Fagen, and a couple of other dealers sell artisan lampwork, but I don't think there are any lampwork booths, per se. (Unless you count the dealers of Chinese lampwork beads... nah, didn't think so...). The last time GF was here, it split the show in two-- I only went to the one location, but there were several "new" booths at the second location from what I've heard.

Bead Faire (put on by Gem Faire) usually does have a couple of lampworkers, and Mingo & Asho have been there with their furnace glass (and some lampwork). Kaytee "Simplexities" on

Hmmmm, sounds like a niche just begging to be filled. I've done a few shows where I was the "lone lampworker" in the past, and they were wonderful. Thanks for the heads-up!
