Need help with shower gift

May 13, 2007 2 Replies

My daughters kindergarden teacher is getting married and the moms are having a shower for her at the school during lunch (with kiddos present). I want to embroider some hand towels for her but am not sure of protocol. Can I use their last name? Or should it just be a monogram? What about first names (his and hers)? I was thinking about neutral colors, maybe shells? Or is it cute with wedding motifs? Any advice or hot tips appreciated.

Kirsten, I gave a teacher with whom I worked, a set of towels in light beige and since she was retaining her maiden name, afterwards, I simply put some seashells on the border. She was very pleased. Although they had lived together several years before, the marriage only lasted 10 months. She said later, LOL, she was happy the towel weren't monogrammed. Emily

Mr and Mrs would be nice with some wedding motifs Neutral or soft summer colors (yellow, light green, light blue) How sweet of you!
