Palette 5 issues

I am having some issues with Palette 5 and hopefully someone can help me out.

The symptoms are as fallows when I go to open the program it will not recognize the USB Dongle reader/writer, it was working fine now it will not for some reason, no new software or hardware has been installed into the computer.

I have done the fallowing uninstall and reinstall the dongle from the hardware list in the computer completely removed the software and reinstalled (Norton systemworks) installed all updates from baby-lock I have a ghost backup from prior to installing palette 5 for the first time (virgin copy so to speak) and I even tried that on a spare HDD I had floating around and I could not get it to work.

my computer P4 2.2g

80 Gig HDD 250 Gig HDD CD - RW DVD -/+ RW 512 megs Ram 64 meg GForce Video Card Windows XP pro

the fallowing items are hooked up to the unit as well HP Printer - DB25 HP Scanner - USB

250 Gig HDD - External via USB Palm Pilot - Serial Web Cam - USB Digital Still Camera - USB Digital Camcorder - USB

to say the least I am at a total loss here, usually I can figure these things out but not this time :( if anyone has any ideas of something to try I would appreciate it.

yes I called my Dealer and Baby-Lock they are both stumped, the person I spoke with at baby-lock refused to get a higher level tech involved for some reason, I am going to call back again and see if I can get someone else.

Try changing your printer port.........

If you still haven't had any luck, try pulling out all peripherals currently connected, excepting the keyboard, mouse & Pallete box.

All those USB devices may be interfering with the installation of the USB driver from the Pallete software?
