Fireworks and ship`s sirens have just about stopped now - the dog`s gone to bed in disgust - as will we in a short while.

All the best everyone.

Texas is on a major NO BURN BAN and NO FIREWORKS BAN. I'm not sure what they mean by NO FIREWORKS BAN, because isn't that a double negative? That's okay, my neighbor spell warranty, "warruntee."

I'm certain there will be fires, and 30,000 acres have already burned since last week.

But, Happy New Year!

Despite the early hour, I'm ready for bed NOW. I think it was the beer before dinner. Happy new year every one, I think the kids will see this one in with out me!

Cheryl, you are too young to quit now!! However, Jim has already gone to bed ( he calls it Amateur night, and I am following shortly.

happy New Year to all!!!

Gillian

Me too. We were going to go for a late dinner and to a friend's house till midnight. Instead, she wound up sick enough to need to be in the hospital for 2 days so we went to Outback early. I decided for the first time in a long time to have an Irish Whiskey and it hit me like a ton of bricks. That's me, the last of the big time drinkers.

Happy New Year to all,

Lucille

Happy New Year Pat, and to everyone on R.C.T.N. We still have an hour and a half to go yet, but I think I hear my pillow calling even now. LOL

Every party has a pooper........ :)

I've made it this far, may as well stay awake a little longer.

DH and I made it to the New Year -- awake and alert -- sort of. We watched the hoopla in Times Square on the telly and then I went and had a nice long soak in the tub. About 12:30 AM, I remembered to tell Dh Happy New Year -- he hadn't realized we'd forgotten that little item -- LOL! Happy New Year to one and all -- even if you don't celebrate the same new year date as MOI :-)! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

That's me, Party Pooper Queen. lol As it turned out, I forced myself to stay up until midnight, watched the crystal ball fall in N.Y. earlier, saw the fireworks at the Seattle Space Needle, then layed awake until just after

4:00 a.m.! Oh well, it made DH & fam. very happy to have me with them at midnight. So how many of us made a resolution to learn something new (in the stitching line) as their resolution?

Maureen
