needle case or needle book

Where can I find instructions on how to finish a needle case or needle book? I appreciate any help. Mary Ann

Well, you'll find lots of help here. But we need to know a few things, first. Did no instructions come with the project? Are you winging this? Can you sew a seam? By machine? By Hand? Is this a countable ground that might ravel considerably with handling, or is this a closely woven material?

Are you wanting to finish the actual book/case or are you trying to finish the individual pages (which are usually a part of any needle case). Those or often blanket stitched around.

In response to Diane's post about more info: this is an actual needle case stitched on linen. I do not totally understand the instructions included in the project although I could probably figure it out as I go. I can sew by hand or machine. Thought someone could direct me to a site that would have "better" instructions. Mary Ann

The challenge is that not all are assembled the same way :-( You wouldn't have any pictures of either the finished project or the current state, would you?

Best wishes, Ericka

Could you share the instructions? We could then go from there and extrapolate what the designer is trying to tell you to do. And hopefully make it easier for you.

These things are all made differently. I've designed my own needlebook, and many a designer has had their own "twist" on an ages-old object.
