I can scan you a Tablecloth piece ,, if you want it ,, By the way in my site if you go to "fabrics Remember ". You will see that i hung in the exhibition a tablecloth , that my Oma for her dowry, During ww2, it was hidden ad after it she started a `2nd level` of embroidery, people wrote on the tablecloth and she embroidered it with Sewing thread. The first layer was very orderly , the second was rather scattered all over . I myself made an Album with old embroidered and crocheted doilies.
For my daughter i made a Wall rug , on which i incorporated , pieces from old tablecloths, which were Used tell threads could be seen.
I know several women , who sewed/embroidered a Chupa [=3Dmarriage cloth] for their daughters , on which they embroidered a piece of left over embroidered table cloth, they inherited. mirjam
By the way i also know a woman who makes shirts , using hand embroidered table cloths . mirjam
