Wow , i am still not over the surprise , i got a bag with some parts of old embroideries ,,,, and one is just BREATHTAKING , becuse of it`s beauty and it`s smell !!! 27 x 16.5 cm. the embroider is made of 7 lengthwise pannels, 4 wide pannels made of
7 square flowers, encircled with thin pannels. that also go lengthwise or widthwise. Each sqare flower measures 2,8 x 2,8 cm ,,, has 8 leaves , 2 to each side in one color made in half tent stich, and an other color that encircles the leaves` body and fills the corners ,,, colored used are Castania brown with [faded] bordeaux and a middle in yellow. [14 flowers] [on right sides pannels they are 1st [from me ] 4th and 5th , on left side pannels they are 2nd, 3rd , 6th and 7th ,,, the other 14 flowers are with Dark blue leaves and dark green and a red middle. The thinner pannels display another pattern, and are mainlly green ,and all other colors mentioned above. The background cloth that barely shows on a side tear, is a very closely woven cotton, used for clothing items.. But oit is quite old , and has dirt on it ,, I don`t know where it came from , will have to check books ,,,, after i cleaned it ,,, brrrrrr . mirjam
