Sunday AM, coffee klatsche, blog surfing, yarnin', etc...

Good morning, RCTY! It's almost 9 am in the Central Standard Time Zone, here in middle Tennessee, USA (-6 GMT). I slept IN, until 7:30 am... quite late for me. Don's been up since 4:30-ish (me-thinks!) I've just made another pot of coffee, and will go blog-surfing after reading through and responding "here". We went OUT for two meals this past week, breakfast earlier in the week, and Fish-fry on Friday night. We haven't been out for meals in aeons, so it was a nice treat. (except for the fish, but that's another long story, which I won't go into now) It's sunny, here in middle TN today, but temps have dropped a bit from the

70's we had mid-week. (it was 37 overnight, I 'think' they're calling for high 40's, maybe low low 50's today) Current WIP's: dark green socks for Terri, and a TN Vols blanket for Jacey are the main projects, and of course I also have other things going as well, ie: caps and lapghans for charitible purposes. Current UFO's: my NYCO is woefully ignored. Current IIP's: (ideas in progress)... too many to list FO's: are at my blog

Good Morning

It's just after 10 here in Toronto and I have been awake since 8 which is early for me on a Sunday, usually my day to sleep in.

We are heading out to do a bit more shopping today (yes Lewiscraft) and then hopefully I will be able to get the baby afghan finished that I have been working on this week. A girl at work is expecting and asked if I could make her a baby afghan.

Hope everyone has a good day today. I am going to enjoy some of the sunshine that we have today.

0915 for me, everybody else with two legs is still in bed, all the 4-legged household members are milling around aimlessly. The espresso machine is heating up.

A woman who is no longer a friend dumped a 5wo kitten on me early last week. The kitten's favorite pastime is climbing my leg, an unfortunate habit that I'm working to correct. The kitten is weaned (now) and quitre snuggly when it isn't climbing my leg. My son calls it Mustard, I'm thinking Fireball may be more appropriate...

I've burnt out on spinning. The fact that the other wool have to spin long-draw is a crummy spin contributed to my burn-out, I'm sure.

re: scratching under casts.

When I broke my arm two years ago (leading to the most recent surgery and possibly to another by years' end) I used a 10-gauge copper wire to scratch under the cast. My itchies now have mostly to do with the incisions healing. A cold pack tied on with an ACE wrap plus minimal hard labor has kept the sweaty itches to a minimum.

Tomorrow, knitting.

Hey Darlene,

Have you been to the Lewiscraft in Bridlewood Mall? Did you clean them out, or is there some left for me :)?

Hi Nadia

I haven't been to Bridlewood Mall yet :)

Today was Markville, Oshawa Centre and Pickering Town Centre. Don Mills doesn't have much left, Eglinton Square not much.

I have heard from a few stores that they will be getting more yarn just don't know when.

Today's trip was another 4000 grams of yarn so I think I better get busy crocheting and knitting to use some of this up.
