A question from Maureen for all the the experts out there in RCTN world. Is there a website that describes how to "do" bargello? I've found several sites describing what bargello is but nothing telling Maureen how to create it.

Check the wikipedia article on bargello - it talks about how it is created and how to create the various motifs, along with several external links.

I needed a refresher a while ago on the different types of bargello and found a terrific site:

that link doesn't work, search for "Cathy Decker's Home Page". She has one on bargello which has pictures and instructions on several different bargello styles.
Happy stitching!

I have a couple of pages on my needlework tips site that may help Maureen.
The link below will take her to a free design to try. There is also a link on that page to a general information page about the technique.

Great link! This is definitely an interesting person - you can follow to her crewel embroidered clothing - very cool.
