One of my favorite books is a Hebrew Embroidery book that has been reprinted a couple of years ago ,,,, It is called Zimchiel -Legends & embrodery the stories were written by Baruch Chizik and embroidered by his daughter Naomi Chizik -Ayalon The original book was printed in 1930 , and reprinted in 2003. The Legends are about Local plants And his daughter , an Artist in her own right embroidered the legends in [Hebrew] writing and illustrates =embroideres every legend with elaborate details , original wonderful ideas, Flowrs are botanical correctly embroidered, so well that one can `smell` them !!!! These days the Ein Harod Museum exhibits the original embroidered cloths ,, it is remarkable .... mirjam
