Hello,
Any recommendation for cross-stitch sofware that runs on Win-XP?
Also, any software that generates 20x20 squares per inch for use in cross-stitch?
TIA

PatternMaker by Hobbyware will do both. I think most programs will., it's just that I've not used them. I've tried a couple of other programs, but always go back to PatternMaker.

I`ve been using ILSoft`s Premium Plus 2000 for YEARS - excellent programme, and you can pick which grid details you like.

>i recently spent a couple of weeks digging through the features of various stitching s/w programs and when it came down to it, I went back* to Hobbyware's Pattern Maker. Excellent interface, many capabilities. For now I have the "standard" version and when my life settles down i plan to upgrade to the professional version.
Me too! I got the original 1993 shareware floppy disk ver 2.1. back when it was simply called "Cross-Stitch Designer". Loved it so much I kept up with all the versions including the latest Ver. 4.0 Pro

When I first got a Win computer, it was a 3.11, about the time W95 was transitioning into W98. Hobbyware was the only company still supporting the 16-bit equipment, thus the only one with a demo that would work on my 'puter. I've remained a dedicated customer, and have PM4Pro on my current NT 'puter (a refurbished former W98).
