I am having all kinds of trouble with teranews and they refuse to acknowlege that there *is* a problem. I keep getting a 400 too many connections error message. Does anyone have a newsserver that actually functions? I'm posting this through Google, which is too clunky to use regularly. So I beg your indulgence and ask that you email me any suggestions. I will check back here, but I can't guarantee that the answers won't get lost in the google-goo.

I use individual.net as well. Love it. I used Firstgate to subscribe. It was about U.S. $14. Well worth the price for an annual subscription. Dianne

OK, I used the Firstgate thing, and they acknowledged my acct, but I still haven't heard from individual.net about a password. How long does that ususally take? It's been over 24 hrs, and their website seems to imply that they send the password almost instantaneously.

Oh, dear! I was already a member when their service was free. I just used that password. I can't remember how long it took for things to work!!

When I did it, it took less than 24 hours IIRC. Don't forget to check your spam traps. AOL has also been known to quietly delete incoming mail without telling anyone, so if you still can't find it you might want to set up a free e-mail account on Yahoo or someplace and ask individual.net to send it there.
