Cross-Stitch & Beading

While wasting time at Chapters today while DD was placing a book order, I pulled up a chair in the needlework magazine section and came across a magazine called Jill Oxton's Cross-Stitch & beading. What I saw in that magazine was BEAUTIFUL! There was a picture of a dolphin stitched in various shades of blue & gray. That was framed in a blue mat. And on top of the mat was a second dolphin. Both dolphins were jumping out of the water, and I read on and found out the second dolphin was actually done all in beads, cut out, and mounted on the mat itself. This gave the over-all work a three dimensional look. It was actually very stunning. I thought this was a brilliant idea!
