They take Visa etc. so if all else fails, just order and it will show on your statement translated from Euros into dollars.
The shop I worked for mostly ordered France-based items via European Cross Stitch company. If this distributor doesn't carry, emailing them might suggest that they start or get you the name of a U.S. distributor that does.

It's a gorgeous piece, but if I'm figuring it properly (and I'm not very good at converting cm to inches) this is a huge piece.
I wonder if they mean to sell each letter individually?

Yes, they do and 18cm works out to appx. 7 inches.
