My work (and "life"?) this autumn

Nov 28, 2006 14 Replies

NO!! *I* have NOT buildt up my new kitchen, but I have been the assistant, painter and errand girl!

It is a very small room, and I was afraid I had to stand outside the house taking pics through the window!

The coloures are not right, it is a warmer white/cream. The tiles are pastel colored natural stone, and the floor grey/green. IF you had seen the old one, you really had understood what has happened! LOL!

addition I have had some family matters to look to this autumn,so I have NOT been so active on the NG as I like to be.But I hope the times will be better now ;-) AUD ;-)

Aud, It looks like a very functional room.... everything is within easy reach - and it looks all new! What more could you want? Do you have any pictures of what the "old" kitchen looked like? Renovations can be very stressful, and now it's all done. You must be very pleased with it.

Thanks for all the times you send us pictures of what life is like where you live! Shelagh

For some reason when I click the links I get a big, bad FORBIDDEN page. I'm sure it all looks great, and you're glad to be done it.

I had no trouble at all...... I'll try getting a Tiny URL for them - see if they work for you.....

I get the forbidden pages too. Even with the tinyurl versions. Odd.

Thanks for trying, Shelagh, but I'm still can't see them.

Aud,

It looks great! Those are the kind of cabinets I want! I collect teapots and cut glass dishes and want to be able to see them, but not dust them!!

it was impossible to reach the pictures from Yarners, even I made a second post with TinyURL. may be webshot is unsecure, so firewalls close it out?? I am not sure what to do at the moment, but try the link to my webshot homepage to see if it is possible to go THAT way! The pictures are NOT very special, but I got very curious to what this can be!

Yes, I can access them that way. :) I love your wood bench top. Mine is very similar but much older and it now needs a very good sand and four coats of varnish - a big, messy job.

If you use oil on a rag once a month (do it in the evening and then it's ready for use the next morning; burn the rag after use!) you will easily keep it beautiful for years..My brother's bench top is like new, therefore I dared to choose a wooden one! Aud ;-)

Thank you, I am very happy with it! I have some cabinets with glass, and some "solid". So far it seem to function well! AUD ;-)

Very nice kitchen, Aud!

I imagine having it all freshly organized and all brand new makes it fun to cook!

Thank you! Yes! it IS nice! I have always loved cooking, but I have to say that after work the love is NOT very strong! Now I feel like Christmas every time I go to the kitchen, Hope it lasts, because now it's VERY tidy! ;-) Aud ;-)
