Embroidered Truths

I can't believe I haven't seen a post on this already! (I've been tied up with schoolwork and have been ignoring rctn (and other groups) for a while, but caught up with rctn today at least... in a very fast-skimmed sort of way)

I liked this one better than at least two of the previous... but as I've enjoyed reading all of the series... I couldn't put it aside for long. And it's a *good* thing it's a fast read (for me, anyway), because the library got it in and my reserve came up right in the middle of one of my 3-day weeks for the class that is condensing a 13 week class into 6 weeks, no pulling of assignments.

Sigh.. back to schoolwork (haven't touched any needle other than my

*very* simple charity knitting while waiting for a kid *and* reading at the same time in months now)... I'll be debating whether to re-borrow the book again to read through more leisurely (I hate reading rushed, but..).. or wait a bit longer and buy it in paperback to do the same thing later on....

I liked the new book, finished it last night.

I read a knitting mystery while on vacation -- Knit One, Kill Two, by Maggie Sefton. It was a good one too.

I started ET tonight! And picked up Knit One at Barnes and Nobles today! thanks for the recommend.

I'm just about done with The Spice Box, the mystery is ok, but the characters are wonderful!

Just requested it (it's currently out).

I pre ordered this from Amazon but unfortunately I put it in with another book which won't be published for a while. I tend to do that quite a bit. I will find something I want and then go looking for other things to make up a big enough order for the free shipping. Then I am stuck waiting for the last to be published item to come out before I can start reading the one I went to Amazon for in the first place. Beverly B

Bought this yesterday. It's Christmas for my grandmother (who isn't into cross-stitch, but loves the series). Mary Monica is going to autograph it - won't Grandma be excited!

(May have to "test drive" the gift before I give it to her :-P )

For Canadians, let me put in a plug for chapters.indigo.ca They have a free shipping for orders over $39 as well, but they ship whatever is available and fulfull the rest of the order when it is ready, all under the free shipping umbrella. I've had the cheapest item ship weeks later with no shipping charges.
