FRequent posters?

How do I tell where I fit in the frequent poster line up? I just want to know if I'm pulling my load (hee hee hee).

piffle. Post within your comfort level.

Of course, you can always bribe us with fabric, and we'll make sure we think of you as a regular.

I can't figure out how some of these posters have time to quilt. If I keep up my reading the group and posting just a few comments it takes at least two hours per day.

I haven't read the newsgroup in the last few days and there are over

1500 new items to read! Can't read everyth>How do I tell where I fit in the frequent poster line up? I just want

Just a happy note - I do have machines all over the house, but my wonderful husband decided that the now-empty bedroom from the SSD would make a wonderful sewing room. "You could have all your machines in one place", he said. I had to pinch myself, but it wasn't a dream.

So, what is the free newsgroup server?

Donna in Idaho

Thanks Alice!

Another one is allnews.readfreenews.net No login needed at all.

Elena in Tx (is it just me or is the 'net S L O W tonight? )

Thanks for that one. Yes, it's slow - even the mail is quiet - not even spam tonight!

Just tried that one, Elena, but it does not allow posting. I guess I should have taken the "readfreenews" part more seriously!

Try the one I use. It's free, tons of newsgroups, allows posting and there's no limit. I have comcast as well and only use giganews as a backup.

Good luck on the first problem.

AS for teh second problem, I have something that might work for you. My NG reader is called MicroPlanet Gravity. I am running version 2.5. I think that this is a free d/l but you will have to search to find it as I don't remember where I picked it up. I have been using it for over a year and a half.

If you are a frequent poster, does that make you a poster girl/boy?

Yes! Want an autograph?

Dee in LeRoy, NY ( way down on the frequent poster list)

I've got a ng reader that works just fine, Outlook Express. What I

*don't* have is a newsgroup server to connect to in order to read messages.

Oh well, like I said, the job with a shorter commute has to come first, or I won't have time to come here anyhow except on breaks at work.

Thanks, Alice, I'll check that one out this weekend, when I'll have a little more time!

Are you looking for a server to connect to from home or work? I have a good one to recommend if you need a home connection. Let me know.
