?? for the gents

Hello friends!

I will be attempting to teach my boyfriend to cross stitch shortly, yay! One thing I know well after, well, a few years on this old Earth, is that men's brains work a "tad" differently than women's do, so I thought I'd ask if there was anything I should watch out for? Any concepts that had to be explained differently, phrasing I should be aware of to use or avoid, etc etc?

I am really looking forward to this :) that boy sure does need to get the heck away from the computer a little more! (before you start the "pot to kettle" jokes, he works IT and programs for fun!) plus, you know, if he starts up then I HAVE to increase my stash to accomodate him, right? LOLOL

I am male, and I do cross sttich. I have no idea whether you know anything about me. Let me just note a couple of things, and if I can help any more, we can talk on rctn, or you can email me.

The thing I enjoy most about cross stiching is the challenge of keeping my backs as neat as I can. I have tried to get ladies interested in this, and have yet to find anyone who is interested.

Most patterns are designed for lady's taste. If you want to see my "maidens", please visit

I well remember your maidens, although I'm still in therapy over the inferiority complex your backs gave me all those years ago ;)P (j/ k...sorta) My backs are, well, neat enough. I just try not to show them to anyone anymore LOL.

I guess I'll just go about teaching him the way I would want to be taught, and if I run into any sticky issues I'll see if you can help clarify them :)

Thanks for answering me!
