Bear in mind, this is really all about saving money and being "green"!! You do not have to waste gas in the car to run out and buy some little thing for a project....it is in your stash! This also saves on emissions into the atmosphere from the car.

Speaking of stash...I'm now the proud owner of 7 Clover punch needle barrels which means I also have seven three ply punch needles (acquired via 40% & 50% off coupons) as that's the only way to get extra Clover barrels to use with their other two punch needle sizes...I've got three of each size of those two needle sizes!!

As you noted about the punch needle threader, that was a good way for you to get extra threaders...I now own 7 threaders, one from each Clover punch needle set...7 more good reasons buying all the sets!

Still waiting for the K's Creations punch needle scroll frames!! Have no idea why they're not here...it's been almost two weeks since I ordered by credit card...they told me the frames were going out the next day!

Not to worry though...have plenty of other stashed goodies to keep me busy!

Anne Instead of calling it Lula`s fault even in loving way , why not give her thnaks that she awakened you curiousity to such possibilities? I think everyone of us who is creatively creating in various techniques finds that her/his closets are overflowing with materials. which are part of our Muse , our `companion` to creating , ideas and moods. My materials are for me like the Colour tubes of a painter . My pallete is my table where i lay out different materials from my collection, to be `mixed` into my work . mirjam

I come from a long line of packrats. When I started hanging out with online and 3-D stitchers, my genetic and learned tendencies were validated.

Another discussion has me 90% convinced that I need (not want) a pair of Gingher scissors. My current project, one of Di van Niekerk's large ribbon and stumpwork designs,uses a lot of button-holed around the edges shapes. My scissors don't cut close enough so I'm left with minute but still visible, at least to me, teeny pieces of the ground. I've been using markers to hide those lines but I'd rather omit this step.

hmmmmmmmmmm... I just convinced myself to spend another bit of my kids' inheritance. I'm off to shop ;-)

My nail scissors are nasty.

I'm extremely clumsy when it comes to tools. Couple that with my fear of snipping threads and we (me) have a problem

Too late -- I wanted scissors and I wanted 'em today. I got the 3 1/2" stork ones for a little over $12 and the clerk told me they could be returned. They are a bit better than my old no name ones so I'll keep them.

I'm afraid I might be developing a scissors fetish and collecting them....one of each brand and type

Anne I think we all are a bit clumsy with our tools until we get the idea how to co-ordinate well with it`s possibilitis and our abilities ,,,, and this goes from the most tiny tool to flying an Airoplane ,,, I used to be afraid of cutting , till the day my Weaving Teacher in BU , told me to cut into my OWN woven cloth ,,,,,, after this i learned to think about it and do it as needed , and if it unsuccessful use it as a opening for a tiny creative repair.

I know, practise, practise, practise!!! My current project has so many shapes stitched on muslin and then attached to the main design that I'll be an expert by the time I'm finished ;-)

If you want scissors to cut with, rather than gather dust in a display, I recommend tonic brand. I bought a pair of spring loaded ones on someone's recommendation for making rag edges easily; they're 900 times nicer to use than my fiskars.

Ok - I'm looking at nice ones to use that I couldn't afford any other way... C

This almost compares to Karen C.'s DMC box, not wood though.
