Good Sampler Sites?

Does anyone have any good sites for cross stitch samplers. I really like doing them but not a lot of them move me to stitches! I am always on the lookout for good ones. TIA!

Hi Richard:

It depends on what type of samplers you like. I prefer band and marking samplers.

The Drawn Thread has lots of lovely ones. I've done at least five of theirs.

reproductions, The Essamplaire is wonderful

am also partial to Charland's booklet samplers ("Marie - Queen of Scots" and "Elizabeth I"). These are expensive but worth it - I've done them both.

The magazine " Sampler and Antique Needlework" has samplers every issue, and "Just Cross Stitch" usually has one every issue as well.

I'm sure other folks will have suggestions, too.

Two great sites, love the Scottish one in essamplaire and the little blackwork sampler in the drawnthread.

If you don't mind joining a Yahoo group I would suggest the Sampler Life.

are great enablers. There are 86 albums of samplers in their photo section. If you ask for suggestions for any type of sampler I'm sure you will get lots of answers. They're a very friendly, talkative group! :) Mavia

I knew if I asked the right question I would get good answers, thank you so much for taking the time to paste the links! The Yahoo group sounds interesting too.

Its hard to say what I like, I just know it when I see it. Can't be to cute or girly , I really like the Acorn sampler I did and posted a picture of on RCTNP. I did MLI's Summer Sampler for a friend. We traded: the sampler for a watercolor painting of a pheasant for our dining room. I like some specialty stitches but not too many in one piece. I like antique and reproduction.

I like the Black Sheep Sampler that Jere has a photo of on her album.
