Help from my UK friends, please! :)

Hi Everbody!

A few months ago I was browsing through some English cross stitch magazines. One of them had an advertisement showing Lavener & Lace's Celtic Ladies done in color palettes to match the English country side. I made a brief enquiry about it and decided it was too expensive to have shipped, etc. Time has gone by but the Celtic Autumn done in the English colors has stuck in my mind. I really want to do this lady but, Murphy's Law, I can't find the magazine it was listed in. I went to a bookstore today that has a spectacular magazine rack. I bought 4 English cross stitch magazines and none of them have this advertisement.......HELP! Does anybody know where I can find these alternative color keys? Thanks for any help you can send my way!

Anne :)

Give me a few days, I have all the New Stitches upstairs next to the chair. I can't really sit down and look today, but tomorrow should be quieter.

Hi Pat!

Close, but no cigar! LOL, The stitching chart is of Celtic Autumn but the actual colors used are not the lavenders, etc. that L & L used. The colors in the English Countryside conversion were greens, bronzes, golds, etc. Thanks for helping me out. Keep looking if you can! Any and all help is appreciated.

Anne :)

Here's a conversion that someone has used but I'm not sure if it's the one you are looking for.

Shawl (white to khaki): B5200 to 3013 ecru to 3013/3012 (one strand each)

I found the advert you're talking about.

They have changed color keys for Autumn and summer. The Autumn looks beautiful--it stuck in my mind too.

YIPPEEE!!! Thank you! - This is exactly the photograph I saw in their ad. I've emailed the shop and hopefully they can help me out! Thank you all very much for your help!

Anne :)

Hello Anne,

Have you tried EBay.co.uk as they have some Lavender and lace kits a good prices. I'm sure if you find a reasonably friendly seller tha they might consider posting the kit to you by surface mail.

Kind regards

Clar
