Hi from a Newbie

Nov 09, 2006 12 Replies

Hi all -- one of my yahoo groups came over here to google so i was searching to see what other groups were on here and came across this needlework

-- I have a passion for fabric and fiber and manipulating raw pieces into works of art -- i love needlework, fancy stitches on canvas, xstitch, blackwork, knitting, tatting, crochet -- My immediate goal (other than to finish the mountains of UFO's i have) is to learn as many hand lace techniques that I can --

I look forward to sharing techniques, photos of done projects, and getting to know the group

Oh btw -- i m a divorced gal from ND who never seems to have a dull moment but many dull needles lol

Welcome to the group. I think you'll fit right in.

I am also a new member of the group. This group seems to have fun and does share lots of stitching related things as well as just funny things. A bit of everything.

Well, you`re certainly in the right place, "T". Hope you stay with us - welcome (from the UK)

Pat

Welcome, T, to the group. Looking forward to your joining in.

LOL - aren't those pointless needles ;^)

Welcome, Alice. Sometimes it's more of everything else - but there's always a never-ending supply of UFOs for us to moan about.

Welcome to both of you "newbies". I was in both of your states this summer, and loved them! "T", we have a good buddy on here, Joan, who is also from ND, Grand Forks in fact.

Gillian, back in sticky Florida.

North Dakota??? *North Dakota*?!?!?! Where? I'm in GF!

Oh, and welcome! :)

Joan

Let me know if you ever meet - at least I can pass the chocolate!!!

Heck, Joan

if I had known a lady called "T" lived there we could have gone and had a real stitch-fest!! I did thoroughly enjoy meeting up with you, and I LOVE your hometown!

Thanks...I like it here! :) That would have really been fun to have a stitchfest, wouldn't it? Too bad we didn't know about "T" back then. Next time you're up this way.....

Joan
