Embroidery has come full circle!

My greatgrandmother and grandmother had iron on transfers for embroidery, and I think my first embroidery lessons used one of a lamb!

Lovely. I think DMC's Linea line was wonderful, though I don't think it has become successful. It wasn't all abstract. Unfortunately, from what little shopping and nosing around I do, I don't think stores stocked much of the stuff, therefore the buyers didn't realize the full extent of the line. They had real silk purses, tons of stencils, loads of iron-on transfers to suit just about anyone's tastes. It did very well in France.
