Linn Skinner has several books of blackwork patterns.

Hi Ruby! Graceful Lily has some really neat stuff - I just got one of their. Also Stitchin'spiration has some neat stuff. Also look at Leon Conrad and Laura Perrin.

There's a Dover publications book called Blackwork Embroidery by Geddes and McNeill that might be of interest to you. It was written in 1965 and there is historical background, but there is also takes on more modern stuff.

The Needlework Show! I had lived very nicely not knowing about it! Now, of course, I have found out about Cross Stitch Wonders, Jeanette Adern Designs and Happy Heart, in addition to the lovely blackwork and some old faves. . . . and don't get me started on those Brit sites!

Must go dry keyboard now!
