I'm addicted...

On Saturday I was wondering around town looking for some small kit to stitch on, something that I could throw in my purse and work on wherever. I went to Michael's and didn't find a thing that would suit me. I was thinking Hardanger, but was willing to deal with most anything that had some specialty stitching or something....Came away empty handed. And depressed.

On Sunday I went to a quilt and needlework show. I've never been to one before, so I wasn't sure what to expect at this particular show. I thought there might be some vendors, but I wasn't interested in that...I just wanted to see the quilts after all!

Oh my! The quilts were beautiful, and I showed my MIL (who's an artist) that I know a thing or two about quilts and needlework (which she doesn't do too much with) and that made me feel good. There was needlework there that was positively exquisite (I'm taking a magnifier next time! Some of that stuff was on like 40ct over 1!!!!). And there were even a few demonstrators there!

And, there were vendors. I was very good. I didn't buy any fabric (my DH was VERY happy about that) and I didn't find the needlework "hot spot" (where I drooled and wanted it all) until nearly the end of our visit. But I did find a vendor who had some small things and I quickly fell in love with one!

So, here we are to my addiction. This is my second Sweetheart Tree little kit. I bought one from my LNS when I lived in NY and liked it. So when I saw this one on Sunday, I grabbed it as fast as I could! Then I went to their website, and decided that there are at last half a dozen more that I could handle having in my possession! Gotta love it!

Any others like these that I should be looking at for purse projects?

Cheryl

I love it! I'm not fond of the door hangers, but that can always be changed into something else!

How about the "mini charts" here

Cheryl Proud Enabler!

Are they the Teenie Tweenies? When I was at CATS Las Vegas, I fell in love with a couple that just happened to jump into my bag. :) And this from someone who's not really into samplers! Here's the link to them:

am currently working on the Blackberry Jam, and I have done the IrishHeart already (I wonder where I put that anyway...I packed it somewherewhen I moved and it hasn't had the finish work done yet...) I don't care for traditional samplers either, but I do love these little things that have beads and specialty stitches and charms and the like! I also really love the samplers from Thea Dueck like this one

But Ican't see carrying those around in my purse! I have all three of thegarden samplers from her as well as the Christmas piece. I have donethe Christmas tree and need to get it finished, and then I just have toget the fabric for the other three samplers.Too many things to do and too little time! Dannielle

I think I would go nuts with those! They are definitely beautiful!

Dannielle

Those one's from VS are beautiful aren't they! There are smaller one's that could fit in your purse...

Most anything is small except the sampler leaflets...
