Today is International Women's Day.

Do something to celebrate!

Watched a girls hockey game (plus a period of the one before DD's).

I went to Moose Jaw Friday night with 3 friends, lounged around the spa pool like a harbour seal, and began International Women's Day drinking wine on the hotel balcony.

It was wonderful. It has become something of a regular ritual and I always feel better afterwards, even if driving home through the rain yesterday was quite icky.

That sounds fun. We spent a few days at Moose Jaw a couple of years ago, and really loved it there. Did the touristy thing in the cellars, the gambling thing at the casino, explored the shops, and the general area, ate good food and just had a great time.

It is a really nice little city--feels like being back in time. And we did visit a quilt shop, and I bought stuff, including a nice little kit for a pillow that has small enough pieces that I can hand sew. There are 3 appliques hearts, which is supposed to be a good shape to practice applique techniques one because of all the different curves.
