Is everyone in Ca. OK?

I heard from my friend closer to the fire that the winds have changed, so the smoke is now out of his neighborhood.

The fire *was* approaching a forest where many of the trees have died of bark beetles, which would've provided immense amounts of fuel. Hopefully the winds will now blow it in the other direction, toward the desert where there's not as much to burn.

The wind that was blowing from the east is now blowing from the south, so the fire no longer coming my direction. I'm in central San Diego, about 150 miles away, but have my windows closed because I can smell the smoke here. One of the biggest problems is that the humidity is sitting at 9%.
