Lesa Steele Designs Floral Delight

May 04, 2005 4 Replies

Hopefully someone can help me on this.

I am doing Lesa Steele's Floral Delight pattern and there is a symbol "L" showing in the pattern, but not in the Materials list. Has anyone done this design? Does anyone know what color floss this is supposed to be?

I have tried to go to her website, but apparently it is not working?

Thank you in advance for helping me.

I'm afraid I can't help you in regards to the design itself, but Lesa Steele retired from designing at least a year ago, so that is probably why you haven't been able to access her website.

How come Lesa retired? Gosh, I can remember when she was starting up her company and people were sending her $$$ to help her start it. I think those who sent money got a limited edition pattern or something like that.

...Linda

If I remember correctly, I think she just needed to take a break from designing so she could try other things. She did mention returning to it at some point in the future. It's possible she's still designing but just not releasing anything right now, but I haven't talked with her in a long time so I really don't know.

I do hope she returns someday, she created beautiful designs and she's extremely knowledgeable about the needlework industry!

Well I finally solved my problem. After much studying and staring at the pattern I FINALLY found my problem. On the chart it shows a solid Black heart as a symbol TWICE. I must have looked at the symbols a hundred times before I realized what the problem was. Anyway after deciding which was the "L", I am now going along great. AND, it is getting very pretty. I am adapting the pattern into a Birth sample for my great niece who will be born I think in September.>>

Thanks again for trying to help me.
