It looks most year a bit like a donkey`s hair , only it ends are a bit `split hair` , it is soft but you always have the feeling that some tiny sand /dust rubbed off it. mirjam

Actually, I think it's Gentle Arts that came out with a fine weight of wool to use for stitching on linen. It's about the same as a Perle 8. Very nice

You could try Shetland "cobweb" wool. It's used to knit christening robes etc which are so fine that they can be drawn through a wedding ring.

Quite a large proportion of babies born today wouldn't know a wedding ring if they saw it lol
