Mistakes in charts!!!!

First - 200 lashes with a wet noodle for the printer. Second, I could almost wish I hadn't given in to curiosity and gone to look at the chart, 'cause now I want it! And how do I get my hands on Spring Friends?

And Friendship is going to the top of the pile - I have it kitted up somewhere! Thanks for reminding me.

Wet noodle? Talk about being too soft! Barbed wire might be more appropriate! ;-))

Oh, I let them know I was not happy. I did get a call back later from them and we did come to a deal. I probably won't be using them for long. See, I have switched over to 4-color processing with a different printer company. They create metal plates of my leaflets so there will NOT be a mistake like this again when reprinting. You can be sure that I will double check everything from now on.

Hi Cheryl. Trust me, I wanted to lash them good! LOL!!! Though, I did get a call back and came to a deal. Just contact any LNS listed on my website and request "Spring Friends". The shops can only order this design through me and NOT the distributors, so let them know this. Sometimes, we all need to be reminded. :)

I'm sure Michelle that you and the majority of designers *do* take pride in producing mistake free charts! It's inevitable that the odd one will be missed and of course you don't have a lot of control over mistakes made by the printer. My concern is that we have become complacent about the quality of the charts we are willing to use. Experienced stitchers can easily spot and work around these mistakes but for those less experienced it becomes an unnecessary frustrating experience. If we don't express our displeasure to designers when they produce substandard charts then we deserve what we get! I think a page for corrections on a website is an excellent idea and is appreciated.

Woulda been my guess based on the fact that it's a Nantucket basket. I've been drooling over those, but have never stitched one of her designs.

I have kicked myself for not treating myself to a Nantucket basket when I visited the region in 1993, at the time all I could think of was how to get it through 2 more countries then convince our customs people to let me bring it in.......they are just the cutest things!

CA Wells is coming to Perth in April this year, and if all my ebay sales go well I hope to some of her classes - though doubt she'll bring the Nantucket Baskets half way around the world!
