My turn

My 'not so DH' called a few min ago (5am) to tell me he had an encounter with a deer on the way to work. The left side of our "new" Subaru - yr 2000 - is creamed. He had another adventure on black ice in January with the same car which creamed the right side of the car. That time the ins did not raise the rates. We won't be so lucky this time, I am afraid. Not to mention another deductible. On top of that, the other car, a 1990 with 160K on it - has a broken fan belt, or so he says. Therefore it has no air conditioning. He says he will fix that pronto. I hope so. The other 2 vehicles are pickups that I can't even get in they are so high off the ground, and older than dirt so they are impossible to crank up. I won't be going anywhere. I know I should be sympathetic to DH and glad he is not hurt, but inside, I am a bit furious. These hilly, curvy, deer-ridden country roads and him (he?) don't get along too well. So, send me good wishes that I don't blow a fuse, will you?

Thanks - Deb 8-(

Oh, those pesky deer! Good thoughts!

The good news is that this should be considered unavoidable and not effect your rates... C

That is good news. I pray that is true in our case. It really was a deer attack - and a common event here where we live. We just changed from Allstate, with perfect record except windshield rock chips to Hartford thru AARP and all blankety-blank has happened in the last 7 months. Deb :-)
