Went to see the orthopedic surgeon yesterday. He took more x-rays and did some testing. He thinks that things are going to heal up really well AS IS, so no surgery!!! He has prescribed several-times-a-week physical therapy for several weeks, and after that he says I should be good as new!! I am so relieved! Thanks everyone for your prayers and good wishes - they definitely worked!!
