Name that Designer (cross post)

Okayyyyy.... Got this puppy off a Christmas tree ornament:

really I did. It was an ornament with the only word being "Noel." I sat there in front of the Christmas tree with a piece of graph paper and meticulously charted every symbol by hand, then expanded it to include the other words.



Lessee, this happened in Dec 1989, or thereabouts. Possibly 1990. No later than that.



I know it has to have a copyright, but I also know that the person with the ornament didn't know where it came from or how old it was.



Help me? Pleeeze???

I don't recognize the actual design but I DO think it looks a lot like something DVG -- Vermillion Studios -- would design. Then again, it looks a lot like something from one of the Kooler Design books. If no one knows for sure, you could try sending the photo to both of them and asking if it is their design. It is a very nice design. You could do it on 40 count linen over one (tent stitch) or do it with surface embroidery using gold metallic threads and some of the colored pearle threads. Now that could be fantastic.

Keep us up to date on what you find out and how the project progresses.
