The names of quilts at shows, in books and magazines have usually left me dim - no idea how the name related to the quilt. That said, the quilt growing on my design wall has a name. It is the last spoken word in the movie "The Bridge Over the River Kwai". Name that quilt. Polly

Musicmaker
How about my entire scrap bin? Sheet music from 1938? Fat-free pupperoni? A jar of moonshine from the nearest distillery? Polly

Madness?
Donna in WA
We have winners. Yes to Donna and Roberta. That is the quilt's name. I'll be able to show you this madness with my own little camera pretty soon. Polly
Howdy!
Well, you might get "dim", as Polly self-describes. Altho' blaming "dim"-ness on quilt names.. well, hardly seems fair, Pol. It's all "Madness", 'innit?

And thank you ladies for solving the mystery! DH and I were going crazy (well, he really wasn't all that concerned about it, but I was!) trying to figure it out. I'm looking forward to seeing Madness in all its glory.
Awww Louise. You remember. The doctor (who was a fine doctor but not keen on military maneuvers) went up on a hill to watch the train cross the bridge. When he surveyed the death and destruction, he said, "Madness." I'm breaking every rule in the book on this scrappy quilt; at least the rules I know about. I think I'm being liberated. Polly
"Louise in Iowa" And thank you ladies for solving the mystery! DH and I were going crazy
Can't wait to see this "Madness" quilt. Liberation can be so ....... liberating. As for breaking rules, when it comes to quilting I can't imagine anything much more unnecessary than rules.
Down with Quiltzilla and the Quilt Police! Sunny
